Highlights

Make the most of your Summit experience with various offerings during the event including a space for rest and reflection, SMART Recovery meetings, and more.

Healing Space

Created and staffed by volunteers, including Rev. Michelle Mathis and Chaplain Hill Brown, the Healing Space offers a quiet place for all attendees to rest, reflect, and recenter as needed during the Summit. We hope this space will offer folks a chance to rejuvenate and feel renewed.

SMART Recovery Meetings

SMART Recovery meetings will be held Wednesday, March 10 at lunchtime (feel free to bring your plate) and Thursday, March 11 at 7:00 a.m. in the Healing Space (Room 402). Anyone who identifies as seeking recovery is welcome to attend, regardless of current substance use.

Naloxone Saves: Rescue Kit Making

On Tuesday evening, March 9, join us and Remedy Alliance For the People for a hands-on, interactive opportunity to assemble lifesaving naloxone rescue kits. These kits will be available to Summit attendees and distributed throughout North Carolina through syringe service programs to people at risk for overdose. Come learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose and how to save a life using this medication.
